Another TV Appearance

It's nice to see some things find the light of day. A few years back, I was contacted to film a pilot for a travel-type television show. I've been filmed for quite a few television pilot programs and most are never picked up, but this week I came across the Crackle series: James Hyde Steals the Show. This was a show that I filmed at least 2 years ago. I taught the host,  James Hyde, a few sideshow feats out at Coney Island, and since we said goodbye, I haven't heard a word from that production team. It's good to see that Crackle picked up the show. It's a fun look at what goes on at Sideshow School.

The program is also a bit of a Coney Island time capsule. You'll notice some nice background shots of the since demolished bank building and Coney Island Arcade, both formerly on 12th Street between Surf Ave. and the Bowery and Hendersons, formerly on Stillwell Ave. between Surf Ave. and the Bowery. It's also a nice opportunity to see the Sideshows by the Seashore theater prior to the recent renovations.

And by the way, the next session of Sideshow School begins in just a few weeks...March 18, to be exact...in our brand new theater!
